Cerdwin - A single Spark - 1
Eyes the colour of dusty slate darted frantic above a panting maw. The musteline worked her exhausted muscles, darting through long grass further obsucred by a thick haze of smoke. Eyes burning and itchy, tears flowing free, there was nothing more that could be done but to flee in terror and pray not to die for a minute more. There is only the next minute, and the next. Find cover, dart to it, avoid the men in white metal suits glowing dully in the grey fog they had created. The next and the next, exhausting and endless.
The flames had grown out of control, and now her entire family...
Creeping forward, dragging her belly through the grass,
Sitting alone in her room, a girl thought about her past.
In a small town far from the city lived a small family. The grandfather ran an antique shop,
the father helped run the store, and the mother took care of their little girl Allie. When Allie
had her 9th birthday her grandfather gave her a very special mirror. He told her it would grant up to 3 small wishes, and only 3. He told her not to make any selfish wishes, shaking his finger at her in warning. Her parents didn't believe, but Allie did. So, she hung the mirror up in her room, looked into it, and wished for a wonderful friend to be by her side.
